Sponsoring and attending signature events that benefit Moffitt Cancer Center are exciting ways to support our life-saving work. Throughout the year, Moffitt hosts events that attract widespread public support from corporate and civic leaders and generous individuals.

The Sarasota/Manatee Moffitt Cancer Center Awareness Luncheon will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at noon at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. For more information, please contact Sonia Cerundolo at 813-745-4327.

The Magnolia Ball is Moffitt’s annual black-tie gala. Held in the spring, it supports research, patient care, education and the Magnolia Lodging Program. The 2010 Magnolia Ball raised $2.2 million for these important programs. For more information, please visit InsideMoffitt.com/MagnoliaBall. The 2011Magnolia Ball will be held on Saturday, May 14, at A La Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa. The 2011 Magnolia Ball is scheduled for May 14. Information is forthcoming.

The Skanska/Moffitt Classic is an annual golf tournament held at the prestigious, nationally known Old Memorial Golf Club. The 2010 tourney will be held on Monday, Sept. 27. The day includes golf, lunch, an awards reception and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit cancer research at Moffitt. For more information about the event, please contact Dan Minor at 813-745-3192.
